Having pioneered the introduction of email and offline Internet in the country, it has again been the first outfit to launch development information services through the World Wide Web. Above all, ever since it's inception, SDNP has been working to build the capacity of development sector organizations in the use of ICT. During it's latest phase, it has trained more than 200 organizations to set up and maintain their websites. A number of new initiatives, ranging from the setting up of Cyber Community Centres to district level websites and information systems have marked this phase of SDNP.
